Frequently asked questions

Where are my entries stored?

All entries live locally on the device via UserDefaults. Requests are only sent to the server when you tap the sparkle button.

Can I use it without internet?

Yes. The journal, charts, goals, and export work fully offline. Internet is required only for the sparkle (AI refine) button.

How do I turn off Cloud AI?

Open Settings → Cloud AI and flip the toggle off. The sparkle buttons next to input fields will disappear.

How do I export my entries?

Settings → Data → Export entries (JSON). The system share sheet will open with the file.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Data → Delete all entries. The action cannot be undone. Alternatively, deleting the app from the device removes all local data.

Is this related to cryptocurrency or trading?

No. Beefy is a stand-alone journal app. It is not affiliated with any financial, trading, or cryptocurrency service and does not provide such features.
